What is a Mock Trial?
A mock trial is a "fake" court proceeding that gives students a more comprehensive understanding of the United States Judicial Court System. This experiential learning activity gives students the opportunity to work with professional lawyers, judges, court reporters, and bailiffs to simulate a trial.
Students in the Introduction to Government class will be serving as prosecutors, defense attorneys, judges, jury members, and witnesses during the court proceedings.
Additional students from the MSTC - Stevens Point campus communication courses will contribute to the proceedings by serving as newspaper, television, and social media journalists. They will also compile a newspaper and contribute to this blog.
Stay tuned for more details as they develop!
